So with the economy the way it is today, everyone I know is cutting back, trimming the fat, and trying to save money wherever possible. Most people I speak with candidly about household budgets all say food is a huge expense. It doesn't have to be, it can be cut down. My personal philosophy is to show class and grace in my actions, so I will never discuss or offer "deals" that are in my opinion unethical or restricted. So in this blog I will talk about the amazing deals, steals, rebates, money makers and tools I use to run our household on as my husband says "a mere pittance". In doing this I'm not buying generic brand or doing meals without meat or fresh produce, I'm utilizing sales at the lowest product price adding a coupon in to get free or nearly free. My husband is a huge meat eater so for us cutting down on expenses doesn't include making no meat meals....that just would not fly at this house. That means I stock up on specific meats when there are certain sales. I have only 1 grocery store within 60 miles, but I have CVS, Walgreens, and RiteAid to help me supplement my budget for other items.
My advice is to always be polite to managers and cashiers-they will be your greatest ally in the fight for frugal living. I will also be sharing many of my favorite frugal recipes that have been winners in my house.
