Money Saving Challenge

I've done some great deals the past few days.
My grocery store-Giant Eagle had a deal with Fusion Razors and Gillette Satin Care shave gel
Spend $15 get $4 off next purchase coupon. And the razors were super cheap $6.99 each, used 2 $4 off coupons, Shave gel was $2 I had a $0.55 coupon doubled to $1.10 off. Total cost =$6.88 received $4 off next purchase. I had a $5 off catalina from a different deal I used to pay, so it cost $1.88 pretty good deal to me.

CVS-Sometimes I make blunders...I meant to go Saturday but the day just got too busy and I'm down to 3 Tide laundry detergents...I'm sure there will be another sale/deal prior to June/July when I run out but the worst part was I almost let $13 in ECBs expire beyond use. They expired 3/12, I went today because my store will take them less than 7days after expiration. There wasn't anything in particular we needed so I got treats. DH was pretty happy about this.
I the following:
2 Oral B toothbrushes $3.79/each used bogo coupon.
3 bags Easter Reese's candy $2.50/each used $2 off 3 coupon.
1 bag Starburst jelly beans $2.79 (CVS deal buy $10 easter candy get $3 ECBs).
3 packs Stride gum for DH $1.29/each, used Buy 2 get 1 free coupon

Coupon machine printed $1 off any CVS papertowels( $1.29 so after Q I paid $0.29).
Total came to $3 after all the Qs, got $3 back in ECBs. Paid with free giftcard.

Walgreens
3/$1 Scotch mailer bubble packs. :) These are a great deal!

I also found out about 2 new grocery stores opening very close to my house(I will not have to go out of my way to go to them). One is a locally owned food market that had some great produce deals 75% cheaper than my chain Giant Eagle which has been the only store I've had for a few years. Also there is a small IGA that has opened near the lake (I think based off it's position it's target market is for people who forgot to buy hot dogs, ice, mustard whatever they need picnicing at the lake or for the boaters. They didn't send out any ads like the other local new store but I'm going to drive over on Monday and see what their deals look like and cleanliness of the store. I'm pretty excited.

Money Saving-Entertainment
I've been watching some dvds from the library and a few programs we DVR'd during the week.
I received a copy of Refund Cents from my friend Precious....I was actually thinking about ordering this but I'm very grateful she sent me a copy because after reading it I don't think it's for me. So I see this as a money saver! Thanks again Precious! And I went to the gym both days for an hour and half and watched tv while I worked out.
DH has been watching NBA basketball most of the weekend. We received 2 free (very good.....expensive) tickets from DH's work, he took them before realizing we had 6pm dinner plans with friends fromout of town and the game started at 3:30 so we wouldn't have made it. So we have a friend who was really trying to get tickets to this game, he's a huge fan, and his birthday happens to be next Wednesday. I threw the tickets in the birthday card, he was thrilled. I saved the receipt from his birthday gift so I will return it and get the $30 back. Plus had we gone to the game we'd have spent at least $30-$40 for parking/snacks/drinks. So definitely a cost savings to give the tickets away.

I signed up for Surveyhead (thanks to Couponing Grad Student for bringing this to my attention), and I already have $9 in my account after about 15 minutes of "work" while I watched a movie. You need $25 to cash out, but it can be cashed out as Amazon gift card, Paypal, and a few other ways. I'll most likely cash it out for Amazon gift cards. I've been very into Amazon lately for the majority of our gifts for the year thanks to Swagbucks I've been able to earn $5 gift cards for free.
If you haven't gotten into Swagbucks, feel free to grab a referral and ask my any questions you need. I'll be glad to walk you through it. I will be doing my weekly meal planning tonight and pouring over my grocery ads to figure out what I need(I shop Tuesdays and Wednesdays because of my stores sale cycles and I want to see the new ad prior to buying from the old ad to prevent paying a higher price).
