Extra freebies-ways to help the bottom line

So at the beginning of this year I thought I'd try a few things differently in regards to our frugal living. I admit that most of these ideas I borrowed from my online/blogging friends who've got more experience. So thanks to several people like Sarah, Pubbler, Precious at Frugal Makes Cents and Couponing Grad Student's blog suggestions I've started doing the following:

SurveyHead surveys -I deposit everytime I get $25 into Amazon
Swagbucks-I get points for searching & deposit $5 Amazon gift cards monthly
ERewards-I take surveys dollars add up, for Borders Bucks and Continenatal air miles
ZoomPoints-I take surveys for points-(New so I haven't cashed out yet)
Be Heard Surveys-I just earned $1o check in the mail
Johnson & Johnson Friends- I got $20 cash in the mail.
Kraft is having me test ketchup & they're paying me. We love ketchup in summer
Ebates-I get a percentage of every purchase online back in a quarterly check
My Points- I click through emails and get 5 points for each. I use them to get gas station, drugstores, and department store gift cards.

BlogSpark & Social Spark are also sites I'm trying that allow you to review products and post the information to your readers. Such as that Yoplait Greek Yogurt I talked about earlier this year.
DH and I started talking about what I've done, how long it takes, and how much I've earned. I'd say I spend maybe 10 minutes a day doing surveys and the other extra money makers I mentioned above, usually during commercials while watching evening TV or making dinner. That's about 2.5 days per year. DH's reaction as he did the math in his head was that's crazy. Then I showed him all the money we've saved, giftcards we've gotten etc and he was amazed. Needless to say it's actually more than we've spent at the grocery store this who year. His reaction was pure silence....then he made the comment technically we're in the positive in the grocery world this year if we counted my earnings. Now most of my earnings go towards gift items we need we'll buy off Amazon or other household items.

  1. These things can really effect your bottom line. I purchased so much christmas with amazon gift cards last year earned from swagbucks. It was great. I didnt have the hassle of fighting traffic and crowds in the stores. I'm stocking back up on my amazon gift cards getting ready for this year!
